NHS SANTA CRUZ
My first big project with Strike Brewing Co.
was all about turning existing glass bottle labels into a fresh, dynamic can lineup for a collaboration with NHS Santa Cruz. I worked with the brands’ iconic logos and assets, translating them into designs that felt at home on a can while keeping their spirit alive.
Drawing from the bold graphics of skateboard decks and the effortlessly cool vibe of Santa Cruz, I crafted a series of labels that were eye-catching, cohesive, and ready to hit shelves throughout California. This project was a great way to explore branding, adaptation, and creative problem solving all while having fun with a legendary local style.

CHALLENGES:
This was my first time collaborating with a globally recognized brand with strict style guidelines. The challenge was balancing Santa Cruz’s iconic visual identity with Strike Brewing’s established look. Creating a cohesive label system that honored both brands without compromising either.
OUTCOME:
By leaning into a clean, minimal layout that highlighted the Santa Cruz branding, the final designs resonated strongly with both teams. The success of this release led to additional collaborations, including the Nor Cal Pilsner and the Santa Cruz 50th Anniversary projects.
