BAHT - King of the Floor

BAHT is a collective of “tricking” athletes combining acrobatics, martial arts, and dance in dynamic, entertaining performances.

I designed three logos and worked with the founding members on their King of the Floor tournaments, drawing inspiration from Thrasher Magazine’s King of the Road. The tournaments take place in the Bay Area, South Korea, and Australia, challenging athletes to compete at iconic locations for points and recognition.

In addition to logo design, I photographed BAHT apparel and merchandise, translating the team’s energy and style into dynamic product imagery. This project allowed me to merge branding, design, and photography while collaborating with a talented group of athletes to create a cohesive visual identity.

CHALLENGES: The primary objective was to establish a cohesive and high-impact merchandise brand for BAHT, a collective of international "tricking" athletes (a blend of acrobatics, martial arts, and dance). The core challenge was navigating the diverse creative expectations and aesthetic needs of multiple athletes and stakeholders while simultaneously developing a visual identity to support the rapid growth of their global events, King of the Floor tournaments (held in locations like the Bay Area, South Korea, and Australia).

OUTCOME: The collaborative effort successfully yielded a strong, authentic brand identity and a distinct merchandise line. By embracing an aesthetic defined by its intentional lack of polish and rugged execution, we developed a visual system that authentically captures the raw, kinetic energy of the BAHT collective.
